Meet Our Presenters

Vivian Fulk

King, North Carolina, United States

Vivian Fulk lives in a passive solar home on her husband’s fourth-generation tobacco farm, which has been converted into a French vinifera vineyard, in the Yadkin Valley of North Carolina outside of Winston-Salem. Her farmer husband of twenty-five years and four cats coexist with her at home while she telecommutes as a System Analyst for TIAA-CREF in Charlotte. She trained in Industrial Engineering, Computer Information Systems and Economics at North Carolina A&T, High Point College, and Duke University.

Vivian serves on the board of her local chapter of the Sierra Club and gives Climate Project lectures to various civic groups and universities. Her favorite groups to speak to thus far have been the retired professors at Wake Forest University (who have named themselves “The Tankers” as a tongue-in-cheek reference to a think tank) and the student group on that campus, “Student Environmental Action Coalition.”

Vivian and her husband love folk music and are wine enthusiasts. They host house concerts at their vineyard stage for the local arts council, host political fundraisers, and provide support for traveling troubadours. All include teaching moments with the aim of a sustainable, green earth.
